With our gift picture and easy-to-follow instructions below we show you how simple it can be.  Remember that gift giving is year-long event and this suggestion can easily be adapted  to suit other special occasions.

Vegetable – Stamped Paper

MATERIALS:
Potato (or other firm vegetable or fruit)
Acrylic Paint
Plain Paper (white, black or any other colour)

TOOLS:
pencil, craft knife, foam brush

Cut potato in half. With a pencil, draw a simple design on the cut-side of the potato. With a craft knife, score the potato along the pencilled design, cutting about 6mm (1/4inch) deep.

Carefully cut away the excess potato to the edge of the design, 6mm(1/4inch) from the top. Pour some pain into a shallow dish.  Paint the potato stamp with a foam brush. Press the stamp onto the paper, repainting as necessary.housewarming_giftwrapping
